Happy Halloween!

Thank you PTA for the little pumpkin treats and the pizza party today!! We also had fun playing some Halloween games this afternoon. It was a great day!

We found some rocks at recess, so we found a new place around the school to rehide them.

Today is the start of Red Ribbon Week! Staff and students are encouraged to participate in the themed dress up days! 

Monday- Team up Against Drugs (Jersey/team day)

Tuesday- Give Drugs the Boot (Western day)

Wednesday- Don't Get Mixed up in Drugs (Mix and match)

Thursday- Lei off Drugs (Hawaiian day)

Friday- Red Day (Wear red/cardinal attire)

Career Day

McTeacher Night and Family Fun Night

McTeacher Night is Monday, October 23 from 4-8. Teachers will be at McDonald's helping clean tables and visiting with families. A percentage of sales generated during the event will be donated to the school. I will be there from 5:30-6! Hope to see you there!! 

There is a Family Fun Night next Thursday from 5-7 in the Elementary Gym. A hot dog meal will be provided at no cost. There will be lots of reading and math activities and prizes given out. There is also some really awesome Grand Prizes that will be given out at the end of the night to a few lucky people. I know this is short notice, but I hope you can all attend!

PTA Book Fair

If anyone would like to help work at the PTA Book Fair, please go to the PTA Website (http://clarindapta.digitalpto.com/) and sign up under the Volunteer Tab. If that doesn't work, email me and I will get ahold of someone on the PTA Board.

Anyone who helps will get a 10% discount on books.

The times for the Book Fair are as follows:

Thursday, November 16th- After School until 6
Friday, November 17th- After School until 6
Monday, November 20th- After School until 8
Tuesday, November 21st- After School until 8


**The PTA will be giving each student a free book to bring home during the Book Fair!

Important Notes

There are lots of important notes in backpacks tonight. Here are pictures of each note. One is about Drug Free Week, another is about Career Day, and the last one is our new Sight Words list. There are quite a few dress up days, so make sure to write these dates on your calendars or hang the notes somewhere you'll be able to find it.
