Cookie Decorating Reminder

Here is a list of when everyone is signed up to decorate cookies this week! You will need to come in the front doors of the school (the North doors by the parking lot will be locked) and head down to our classroom at 2:30 or a little before. I will let Jess know you are coming so you don't have to sign in at the office. If your child's name is not on the list, it is because I have not received a note back from you.

Concert Practice

We practiced for our concert today. Our class will be in the middle, towards the left. 

We Will Miss You, Paisley!

Today is Paisley’s last day with us. She, and her family are moving to Georgia. We will miss having you in our class, Paisley, and we wish you luck at your new school!

Concert Parking

Here is a map for Concert Parking tonight. There is a Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Game starting at 6, so concert guests are asked to park by the football field and enter the building through the auditorium doors.

Santa Letters

Our 3rd Grade Buddies helped us write letters to Santa today. We then had a little Christmas sing along.

Shelter Building Activity

Yesterday, students worked on a small group activity where they had to build a shelter. The shelter needed to have a roof, walls, be big enough for their "family block" to fit into, and it had to fit on the white tray that I gave them. Each team had to draw a picture of what their shelter would look like and then they had to work as a team to decide what supplies they needed to complete building their shelter. Each team got very creative with their shelter! They worked very well with each other and their shelters turned out awesome! 

Book Fair

Thank you to the PTA for buying a book for each student in our class (and each student in our building)! We had fun picking them out and reading them. 

Conferences

Conferences are Monday and Tuesday evening from 4pm-8pm. If you need to change your conference time, please call Jess in the Garfield Office. Thanks!

Book Fair

Important Notes

We had a guest speaker come in today and show us some neat tricks with yoyos. He was very motivating and is offering the kids a chance to purchase yoyos. The order form is in backpacks tonight. 

There are also red notes with conference times listed in backpacks. 

Finally, there is a "Disguise a Turkey" project in backpacks. It is due back on November 20th.

This week we talked about how to vote and things we can vote for. Today, we voted for the kind of sucker we want to eat at centers. Here are some pictures.
